My trip to Berlin felt like I went back to Winter season. It was spring already like in London but the temperature was 7°C. It was windy and occasionally gloomy even rain when I was there. My impression about Berlin: it is a peaceful and desolate city. This was a surprise as it is the capital city. Pictures below and the bold text is showing you some places I had visited, which I recommend you to come while you are there!

me at Berlin wall memorial.
There was nothing special really besides the wall filled up with some graffiti and some memorials with description next to it. It was located in a quite isolated area as well. This can be the last visit place on your list if you are in Berlin.

This picture was taken somewhere nearby a hostel where me and my friend stayed. its called ONE80° Hostel. The facilities was fabs and the location is right in the middle of Berlin on the East side. I stayed at another hostel as well called Aletto Hotel Kudamm and this one was located on the west of Berlin. I personally prefer this one as it is located in a more modernised area. It also very convenience as there is a supermarket, food stall and shopping malls just in less than 5 minutes walk.

at Brandenburg Gate

me at Holocaust, the memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe.

at Berlin Victory column.
Make sure to go up and enjoy Berlin city view from above at this monument! The fee ticket is very cheap compare to TV Tower. Even more there is a student discount which I ended to pay 3 euro! However just bare the stairs to go up before rewarded by the view.

at Oberbaum Bridge.
This place is located nearby the East Side gallery. I could imagine it is a nice place to hang out during summer time. There was a park next to the river and some cafes to chill and relax.

me embracing the sun at Neptunbrunne fountain.

Me posed next to St. Mary's Church, which just a minute walk from Neptunbrunne fountain.

Berlin Dom is a must visit place in Berlin. The architecture was mesmerising. The gold painted ornaments are shining beautifully in the room. Moreover, its a free charge entrance!

Museum island.
For the ones who are into history and ancient European culture, this is your place. There is 5 museums available for you to explore. This gonna take you a day at Museum island if you are intended to explore every single of them. Just to let you know there is admission fee on every museum. If you are a student, make sure to bring your student card to get reduction!
Here is the list of museum:
1. Pergamon Museum. (this is referring to a rich and powerful ancient Greek city) Apparently it was closed while I was there. The museum is under construction and will reopen again in 2019.
2. Bode Museum. It exhibit collection of sculptures and coins.
3. Neues Museum. It exhibit Egyptian objects and other classical antiquities.
4. Alte Nationalgalerie. it is a house of art from the nineteenth century.
5. Altes Museum. It knowns to be the city's main collection of ancient art and sculptures.
what I miss...
1. Reichstag - German parliament building. I didnt manage to get in as the ticket was sold out during my visit. I recommend you to book the entrance ticket to the glass dome online here before visiting. Its free of charge! but If its already sold out, you better come early in the morning (open at 8) to get the ticket either for anytime on that day or served for the next day.
2. KaWaDe. Its a massive shopping mall in Berlin. Unfortunately it was closed when I was there due to Easter holiday. I recommend you to visit as the building looks amazing, especially on the top floor with a glass ceiling!
Transportation in Berlin
There is 3 types of public transportation in German: S Bahn (city rapid railway), U Bahn (underground train) and tram. Unlike in London, public transport in here are free entrance ticket machine. I was so tempted to not buy the ticket however, just be ready to pay a fine €60 if you caught by an officer without a ticket.
Facts about Berlin/Germany.
1. Berlin is cold. Based on weather-holiday.com, July is the hottest month with the average temperature of 18°C while January is the coldest at -1°C.
2. German sausage is not as good as I was expected to be like at christmas market in London.
3. Cheese cake sold everywhere (restaurant/bakery)
I hope this is helpful enough for you to get an inside about Berlin. Just comment below/message me If you guys wondering about something else and I'd be happy to answer!
