I woke up in the morning at 7 and I felt so ready to explore the city. I took a free coffee as the complimentary from the hostel. It was very generous of the hostel to serve coffee, tea and hot chocolate for free at anytime on the day at the bar. They also serve buffet breakfast with additional price €4. However I decided to have a fresh croissant from a bakery around the corner of the hostel called Comme Autrefois.
I could feel my eyes sparks as I entered the shop full of fresh bread and pattiserie. I always been obsessed with bread but I refrained myself to not buy all of them as I need to keep space on my stomach to try other food.
I had my breakfast on my way to the flower market on foot, exploring the old city before heading to the bus station to Monaco. Apparently it was not a big market as I expected. Besides flower, they sell other things too such as souvenirs and food: sausage, bread and cheese. I was actually tempted to try socca, (cheakpea crepe from Nice) at Chez Theresa, which is one of the stall in there. Based on some articles I read, it known to be one of the best place to try socca in the city. But unfortunately it was still close when I get there.

a funny story out of this trip was I got a company for my Monaco trip! I bumped into a guy on the road when I was looking at the bus going to Monaco. Apparently I was waiting at the wrong station. He directed me the way to the bus station and spontaneously join me to have a half day trip in Monaco! what a surprise! Yes I honestly felt a bit scared. but since there was people around I calm myself down and trust on his kindness.

The country of Monaco is spotless and structured compared to Nice. People who live there seems to be from middle class and above, judging by the outfit they are wearing and the plenty of sport cars on the street.
I went straight away to Monte Carlo Casino for picture with Khan. I used the present of him for taking me lots of pictures at every corner. As we both hungry, Khan came up with an idea to have lunch with a view at The Prince’s Palace of Monaco, which located up the hill. Khan knew already that there is no low budget restaurant with a view up there. So we bought our lunch in the city before climb up the stairs to the palace.

The.view. was. a-m-a-z-i-n-g.
We had our lunch at the bench with a view of Monaco city from above. The sun on that day just made the best out of it.
There was actually some shops and restaurants in front of the palace. Unfortunately I did not have much time to explore as Khan need to go back to Nice for work. However I managed to buy some souvenirs to bring home. I bought a cap for my dad and my sister and a fridge magnet that represent Monaco.

Cactus and mandarin ice cream at Fenocchio ice cream shop in Nice!
It's definitely worth a try for those in adventurous mood!

Russian Orthodox Cathedral.
It was located a bit far from the city central. It took me about 30 mins walk to get here. As I walk towards the church, I explored a different site of Nice, with a less crowd environment and old buildings surrounded.
