During my foundation year, I explored the concept of recycle and upcycle through fashion. I recycled the fashion trend of Victorian dress and up-cycle with the use of a duvet, blanket, neck pillow, and glow sticks. I did photo-shoots exploring the recycled style using the duvet and blanket which became the dress, I also added a diy crinoline made out of glow sticks to compliment the dress which I believed, brought a vibrant aesthetic and gave the frame of the dress an organic touch. Throughout the project, I found it90-90- extremely adventurous and interesting to explore the knowledge about eco fashion and the wonders it can bring.

For this project, I reflected my interest with the use of two recycled plastic bags and upcycling the value of the materials to be an apparel. I wanted to bring out the elegance look from the plastic bag. I cut the lower part of the plastic on the centre to give access for the neck, also the sides of it for the hands to fit through. I transformed another plastic bag into a pencil skirt by cutting the whole edges of it.

I decided to locate the shoot at my favourite vintage shop, Blitz in Brick lane, East London. This is by reason of the connected concept that I found between my project and the place. This vintage shop sell used apparel and accessories, which count as recycle, while they did refashion on some of the apparel which carried the concept of up cycle.

I'm very satisfied with the outcome. This is my first photoshoot that I take outside of the studio and it was the fastest photoshoot I've ever done so far. There were no issue in doing the shot. Fortunately I got permission from two retailers in the shop to undergo a quick photo shot. It was such a relief that they respond me very nicely and allow me to do it.
