My first publication - Fanzine

It's been a busy week recently because I've been working on my zine. I'm very enjoyed doing it till I had lacked of sleep and lose my weekend in the past two weeks. However, all energy and ideas that I had put into it are paid by the satisfied outcome. I'm very happy with the outcome. The project for this time was about "a sense of place". I define it as it is something refer to the feeling to be in a particular place that triggered by oneself experience and knowledge. This explanation brought me an idea to relate my project with memory. I'm thinking that everybody must have experience to make a connection between the place where we are and our experience spontaneously in our brain. This naturally happen in order for us to understand and remember the place. My zine is subjective and personal. This is about the vibe that emerges in me as I visit several places in London. I designed the entire page, combining pictures with typography. I relate several places I went in London to my perception as I look at it based on my cultural background. For example, When I see graffiti, it reminds me of the slum area under fly over in my city. In my fanzine, I combine those images together. The picture in transparent reflects my vision. My zine is telling you my moment when I was being in several places in London.
